Hua Qianxiao: Use the Drinking Cycle to Create Guard Breaks
Use the length of the bridge to watch Hua Qianxiao’s changing Sha-Chi, approach after his drinking animation and create a guard-break opening for your attacks.

When Hua Qianxiao, the Sword Fanatic stops to drink, you can use the bridge to make space. Wait for him to approach with reduced Sha-Chi, then work toward a guard break. The useful cue is the changing resource bar, rather than the drinking animation alone.
Reach the bridge and prepare
Follow Crimson Forest → Abandoned Main Road → Pangzhen Bridge Overlook. The fight is on the bridge next to the Bell. Bring a weapon you can use consistently and check the upgrades currently available to you; this approach does not rely on a specified weapon level.
Understand what changes when he drinks
Hua Qianxiao can direct his sword at you from a distance. While he drinks, his Sha-Chi becomes a shield. At the end of the animation, nearby players are pushed away; the shield then returns to Sha-Chi, which gradually drains.
That makes distance useful. Move away while he drinks, then watch the bar after the animation finishes. Running in as soon as he stops moving can put you inside the pushback before the opening you wanted.
Use a repeatable bridge cycle
- Create space during the drink. Move toward the opposite end of the bridge.
- Watch him approach. After he finishes drinking, follow the falling Sha-Chi bar and choose your approach when it is low.
- Attack to break his guard. A draining bar is not the same as a completed guard break. Confirm the break before committing to a longer combo.
- Reset when he recovers. If his Sha-Chi returns and he begins another drink, move away again and prepare the next approach.
This gives you more time to read the fight, but it does not make every point on the bridge safe. Keep watching his sword while moving.
Adjust the part of the cycle that failed
- Pushed away after the drink: leave more space until the animation ends.
- No opening when you return: check his actual Sha-Chi instead of approaching after a fixed number of seconds.
- Hit after your combo: stop extending your attack when he has recovered his resource bar.
Victory awards The Fanatic’s Broken Blade. It is a boss reward, so you do not need to search for a separate chest with that name. Read its weapon description before deciding whether it belongs in your build.
