Hua, Deadly Betrothed: Read the Flowers Before Counterattacking
Separate Hua’s exploding red flowers, closing flower ring and tracking white flowers. Plan the tower approach, avoid relying on bleed and check both post-fight rewards.

Hua, Deadly Betrothed overlaps blade attacks with several flower hazards. Recognize the newly grown red flowers, the shrinking flower ring and the tracking white flowers before deciding whether to move, block or prepare for a teleport beside you.
Approach through the lower tower route
Enter the first floor of Sha-Chi Tower through its main door in Weeping Creek Valley. Take the stairs ahead on the right down to the bottom, then climb the stairs on the left to reach the fight.
Hua is a puppet enemy. Without 活木符 equipped, Jagged Steel does not normally inflict bleed on her. While equipped, that accessory allows bleed and lifesteal to affect Puppets, Golden Bodies and Phantom Bodies at 50% effectiveness. It is obtained later in Village of Lu, so it is not a requirement for an early attempt at Hua. Without it, consider Sanguine or an already collected Sanguine Twin and use familiar attacks during real openings.
Give each flower pattern its own response
| Signal | Risk | Response |
|---|---|---|
| Brighter red flowers grow after her blade attacks. | They explode after a short delay. | Leave their positions and reassess Hua’s next attack. |
| Red flowers form a rotating, shrinking ring. | The ring produces a large explosion when it closes. | Move out early while continuing to watch her blade. |
| Three white flowers follow you. | They can be blocked, but Hua also teleports into melee range. | Block the flowers and remain ready for a nearby follow-up. |
The arena already contains red flowers, and Hua’s red appearance makes red-flash warnings harder to separate from the scenery. Newly created flowers are brighter than the existing plants; do not assume that a familiar patch of ground is safe.
Resolve the hazard before extending a combo
Her blade strings contain multiple swings. Blue-flash attacks occur within ordinary strings, while red-flash attacks can appear inside a combo or on their own. The end of one swing is not necessarily the end of her turn.
When the flower ring begins to close, stop extending your attack and leave the area it threatens. Hua continues attacking while the ring is active, so moving away still needs to be followed by another check of her blade.
With the white flowers, stay alert both as they approach and after all of them disappear on contact. These are moments to expect Hua’s teleport beside you. Blocking the projectiles does not by itself make the next moment safe for a counterattack.
Check the weapon reward and the quest pickup
Defeating Hua awards Scarlet Wraithblade. Also inspect the body in front of the main table for the flower needed by Yu’er, then return to Mandate Outpost for the handover.
The weapon reward and the flower on the body are separate checks. Collect the quest item before leaving the arena.
